Hair Cuts and Reunions
Its sad that this diary has defenerated to a simple recording of cold events, facts within a more vibrant tapestry, merely the frame it is woven on. I havent much energy left now at the end of the day to write out my thoughts, but I shall write what has happened whenever I have time.\
Gia and I continue to be quite close. She gave me a haircut recently after quite a while of saying I needed one. I had dreaded sitting still for so long, but it really wasn't all that bad. Gia just has a way of making things agreeable with her presence, I guess. Thankfully though I've been able to help her as well.
It wasnt long ago that Visus returned looking a bit worried. Apparently Ali's new boyfriend, whose name I cant be bothered to recall, hates me as much as his father. Lazarus' get all have a grudge against me for whatever reason, but I never worry about such things, I just outlive them. Well, I never worry about them except when they have my nephew worried about being dragged back. That would be a fun attempt indeed within the tower.
But I think I settled him down, evenm though he only remained slightly interested in the mud fight with Gia I'd planned. Anja joined in after a while, but her and Vis were a bit shy, so I dragged Gia into the mud and showed them how it was done. They got into the spirit soon after, but Gia had just been feeling down all day.
I followed her to the tower and cast a spell to clean us up, but she, being a Gia, had to have a bath. I sat down in the room to chat with her a bit but soon noticed she was crying. I ended up hbaving to actually get into the bath with her to help her, but it was well worth it because she needed it. She just seemed to utterly break and I'm glad I was there for her. When I got her calmed down enough to talk I just curled up with her and went to sleep.
She's been through a lot, and its continuing. Most recently I ended up holding her hand when Valkryn returned to try to figure out who he was and who she was to him. She handled it quite well and I was tewrribly proud. I also got a chance to bug Siona a bit and we exchanged the usual insults. I think we'll always be like that, but its good to know theres something under that veneer of hostility, on my part I know, and I'm fairly sure there is for her as well.
Anja met Valkryn again today but didnt recognize him. He came as a friend of her mother and father's, and I was out watching her when they met. Siona showed up once again, I suppose shes returning and taking interest once more, which is nice. She was doing grand until I mentioned Valk and Gia had sorted things out... She took it to mean Valkryn was back off the market, which really bugged her.
We got in a fight enough to draw Valk and Anja's attention but she did get to meet Siona, and Si got to see Valk again before he took Anja off to bed. Maybe he's starting to grow more comfortable around the tower. I rather hope so. It's odd with his memory gone he still has a habitual dislike of everyones favorite brat mage.
