Snatching Sydel

Wow, what a day! Last night me and Marmar came up with a plan to catch Sydel and today we put it onto practice. I cast a bunch of hidey spells on myself and hung out outside of Sydel's cave. Then Mar showed up and presented herself to trade her freedom for Valkryn's.

Ideally Sydel would have popped up to accept and I'd have hit her with a sleeping dart. Instead it went differently. Athena showed up and mouthed off. She thought this was a trap Sydel had set for us, and in pointing it out she made Sydel realize that we were trying to trap her. I cursed at Athena til she left but by then it was too late and Sydel was ready.

Mar had to go deep into the cave to get Sydel to come out and when she did she knew Athena was about, so she sent hounds after Athena. By this time I was in the cave so I had to cast spider climb and go to the top of the cavern to avoid them. Mar was in the back and I slipped down there.

Sydel must have sensed me because she summoned some kind of huge bull like thing with an axe, like a minotaur. I darted her as soon as I could and then we had a bunch of hell hounds and a minotaur to fight. Mar distracted hte minotaur in her dragon form while I fougbht off the hell hounds. I picked up Sydel's form hoping that controling its summoner would make it stop, but that failed.

The minotaur thing went after Mar so I thought fast and turned the ground under it to mud. It sunk a bit and then I turned it back to stone. Unfortunately it got mad and started brigning the cave down. I dragged Sydel along but I was wounded and weak and the cave was falling around me. Mar was already out and she told me to leave Sydel behind. Even if she is evil it was impossible for me to let her die when I had her life in my hands.

I threw Sydel out first, and then tried to follow. The cave dropped too fast and when I woke there was a searing pain where my leg used to be. Marquie dug me out and found my leg was utterly broken. On hte bright side though SYdel was ok, although I got yelled at for my choice.

I got Sydel into the secure room in my tower where I kept Siona and then Athena poppedu p to help heal us,though my leg didnt repair easily. Then Mar went to sleep and Athena and I went to interrogate Sydel. She was MEAN! I mean I try to be mean to my captors, but she was just too mean. I threatened to torture her and do improper sexual type things and she just laughed! Finally I got so exasperated I just went to bed.
