Partings

I saw Amelia again recently, a ranger friend of mine. Siona was evil to her and banished her to lots of awful places and planes, but she found her way back and she's just so darned sweet and cute. I like her a bunch!

Also, in a sad note, Visus and Gia both left my tower on the same night and Amelia's been away ranging... It's so lonely here now but I guess I should explain...

Visus has been being pretty mean lately, mostly cuz he's cranky and wants his mom. I feel the same really, I haven't seen her in way too long... So I tried to take him to her but my magic got stuck with wards and the closest location I could find to her were the plaguelands where Kielder had been.

I refused to go... That isnt a good place to bring a kid on a wild goose chase, and I dont want to see what my homeland has become. But finally he prevailed on me after a temper tantrum... I took hi mthere and we would have rode Norno but Vis was scared of horses so we went on foot. I met one of the Barimen there, Tyrial by name. So far he's without a doubt my favorite among them since he's a ranger and not near as haughty.

Some guy named Adric showed up with Ali and proceeded to be a dork, though he had healed her from the sad state he found her in. He forced and image of her like that into my mind when I tried to explain how Gia had suffered. I don't think I like him, but I owe him for saving Ali.

Ali was kinda nice to me, but hardly seemed to thank me for looking after Visus... She barely even let me hug her. I dunno what her problem is but it seems to have started well before she was taken and tortured. Maybe she just doesn't love me anymore. It seems like a lot of people feel like that judging by how few of them are around...

So anyhow I had broken Gia's bond to Valkryn and I didnt want to bother her, but I wanted her to tell me that Adric was lying about her being at fault. I didnt believe she'd have done something so terrible... She said she hadnt ordered it or participated and I believe her... but she was offended that I even brought it up, and I tghink also because of Visus probably being told the same eventually... So she left.

And now the tower is lonely and the rangers seem unusuall somber... Even being able to make a mess again isnt any consolation... I hope Gia comes back, I do miss her...
