quibbles

So, what's happened lately? Gia and I are really good friends now, we even cooked together. I made goat cheese pizzas and she was all fussy about touching the goat cheese so we got to joking about a cheese monster. Naturally that gave me an idea so I started building a cheese golem. I've been at it for some time now with breaks whenever Gia puts me to bed.

Speaking of whom I found her daughter out in the forrest recently and cozed her back to the tower. She's a very bright girl and definately the happier for being reunited with her mum. It kind of makes me miss my own mother all the more.

And on such family matters, Bret has finally been gotten rid of. He dropped Sydel off at the tower telling em to do justice upon her and be rid of her. I assured him I'd comply only to learn that she'd been woefully mistreated at his hands. She asked me to help her and I figured to involve her in the plan. I cast a disguise on her and then released her and she went to find Bret and distract him while Gia, myself and the rangers attacked. I did request that she not kill the boy, he is family after all but he hasnt been seen agains since that day.

Also, Gia and I got into quite a debate about tickling. She seems to think that she could have her bodice altered to keep me from getting at her tickly parts. So me, Marquie and Anja all headed into town to visit the shops, and for a more nefarious reason. I bought off the tailor to sabotage the alterations so she'd still be ticklish, and I also got Anja some pretty purple buttons. I paid her with cookies not to tell her mom about the plan.

Gia just had to gloat about how impervious she'd be so I made her a bet. Today she lost i9t when I managed to tickle her again. She was sure I'd cheated and she paid me back a bit and threatened terrible baths and stuff, but the important thing is that if Visus shows up she's agreed to come play in the mud with us. Should be funny.

Stupid family....

A lot has happened since I last wrote anything. For once I've been busy. I went out into the forrest and wandered around just because the tower was too quiet, and then I met Sydel. She seemed oddly concerned and before long she was holding me and making me feel all better. She got me to drink some of her blood without a fuss, mostly just to warm me up I think (I was a bit chilly) and then she took me and decided to put me to bed. I thought she was the nicest person in the world til she slipped something into my mouth and made me swollow it.

I woke up the next day shivering with a hurty stomach and cranky as all hell. The rangers who tried to help me all got tired of putting up with me eventually and went to find Gia. She came back when she heard I was sick and tended to me and she was nice for real. She gave me a bath though which would normally count against her, but it did kinda help. So we hung out all day and talked and she just kept me from noticing I was sick. I was better before I even knew it and I have her to thank

It wasn't long before we were going on adventures. We went into town to visit a bar and she laughed at my usual order of milk and cookies. I really hope she finds her kids soon, or that Visus comes back. I know she needs more company than just me and it's not fair that someone who does all the nice stuff she does for her family and friends should end up alone. She was soon to show she could do even more nice stuff, when we found a house being broken into.

I went in a window and Gia went through the door. Together we saved the woman inside and captured the theif. It was great to do good work again. I hadnt really saved anyone since Gia back in Navere, and it was good to be noticed again. There's so little going on and everyones so scarce that no one gets into any trouble. Anyhow I turned the thief over to the guards and we both went home.

The next thing I heard was that Gia and I were outlawed for kidnapping the woman we'd saved. Gia explained a meeting with the sheriff and it sounded to me like he was involved in some manner of organized crime. How right I was... But Gia wasnt too worried or hurt by it, she was mostly mad that it put an end to her shopping (gah shopping and baths and tidying. Gia really is such a girl sometimes!) But like I said she was ina good mood and we ended up having a tickle fight before we both went to bed.

I decided the next day to see what Sydel would say. I found her in all kinds of withdrawal from my blood and decided to help her through it. I got her to her cauldron and put her in and after a while she seemed better. I can tell the bond is broken now and I'm kind of glad, it was mean of me to keep it up in the first place, even though it was her idea.

Curiously I found the woman me and Gia had supposedly kidnapped on her altar, luckily alive. I took her back to the tower and then questioned Sydel. Sydel didnt know why the people were being brought to her and I told her. She didnt seem to mind she was being used for people disposal. I guess she wouldn't, really. But the worst part was what she told me: Bret is in charge of it. He's the sheriff... My nephew.

She suggested I tell his mom! The nerve of her. I'm no tattle tale. No, Gia and I will bring him down somehow, and without squealing on him. I dont even know where my sister or mother are to tell them about it, though I wish they were around. If they find out on their own that'd be fine and save me some work, and maybe save Bret: Sydel plans to kill him just because they exchanged insults...
